El Centro Knight ofrece curso online de Periodismo de Datos

¿Te gustaría aprender más sobre el periodismo de datos? Si tu respuesta es sí, éste es el mejor momento para que lo hagas: con el apoyo de Google, el Centro Knight lanza hoy las inscripciones al curso gratuito “Herramientas Digitales para el Periodismo de Datos”.
Este Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) consiste en cinco módulos que serán impartidos por la periodista argentina Sandra Crucianelli, quien desde hace 12 años ha capacitado a miles de periodistas latinoamericanos. El curso está dirigido tanto a reporteros, editores, infografistas y programadores, como al público en general con un interés especial en la temática de los datos.
El método de aprendizaje es colaborativo y promueve la interacción entre todos los participantes. En cuanto a los contenidos, se iniciará con una introducción al periodismo de datos, tras la cual se enseñarán técnicas de extracción y análisis de datos de la web, para finalizar con temas de visualización interactiva de datos y elaboración de narrativas.
En Google creemos firmemente en el acceso a la información a través de la tecnología y en el poder de los datos para el periodismo de investigación. Por eso aunamos nuestros esfuerzos al Centro Knight de la Universidad de Texas en Austin para capacitar a periodistas en América Latina en esta rama del periodismo, con nuevos contenidos y herramientas.
