Una forma rápida y más segura de ver archivos de Microsoft Office directamente en Chrome

Quienes utilizan una
Chromebook
ya disfrutan de la habilidad de abrir archivos de Microsoft Word, Excel y Powerpoint directamente desde el navegador. A partir de ahora, traemos esta misma funcionalidad a Chrome para Windows y Mac.
Si están utilizando
Chrome Beta
para Windows o Mac e instalan la extensión
Chrome Office Viewer
(Beta), podrán hacer clic en un enlace a un archivo de Office y abrirlo directamente en Chrome.
Además de ahorrar tiempo con esto, la extensión Chrome Office Viewer también los protege de
malware
distribuido a través de archivos de Office. Así como con las páginas web y los PDFs, hemos añadido una
zona de pruebas
especializada para impedir que los atacantes que utilizan archivos de Office comprometidos intenten robar información privada o monitorear sus actividades.
